In this small place in Maryland, life is rough as oyster shells, people hard as crabs. They are not so much interested in the wide world; they are satisfied with their little one. Hard working people with small needs is what they are. What they do not want is any change. They fear to lose what is most important to them: their way of life, or freedom, as they call it.
